We are a collaborative, community-based program serving the people of Belknap County. Our mission is to effectively intervene on multiple levels to help end sexual and physical violence against children in our community.  We are committed to the following:

To children who have experienced abuse:

We are committed to providing a neutral, safe place for you to tell investigators what has happened to you. We are committed to make this process as comfortable as possible, committed to asking for information in ways that you  can understand and committed to giving you answers that you need.

To parents and guardians of children who have experienced abuse:

We are committed to treating you with kindness, dignity and respect. We are committed to providing you with the information you need to support your child and your family through this difficult process. We are committed to working together as a team (law enforcement, child protection, prosecutors, victim advocates, medical and mental health providers), to conduct the most effective investigation and to assist you with what comes next. We are committed to linking you with resources that can help your child and your family heal.

To the agencies we work with:

We are committed to collaborative, multi-disciplinary teamwork. We are committed to utilizing the knowledge and skill of every individual, and committed to respecting the policies and procedures of each participating agency. We are committed to honest evaluation of our process for the purpose of making it more responsive to the needs of the children we are trying to protect.
